2020 Volkaswagen Atlas Cross Sport interior steering wheel and dashThe Car-Net Hotspot in-car Wi-Fi features comes via the next-generation Car-Net telematics system. This system is included as a standard feature across all trim levels of the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. The SUV is offered in S, SE, SE w/ Technology, SE w/ Technology R-Line, SEL, SEL R-Line, SEL Premium and SEL Premium R-Line models.

Car-Net Hotspot requires a paid Wi-Fi plan from a third-party wireless provider.vUp to four devices can be connected to the Car-Net Wi-Fi hotspot at one time. The feature can support a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops and gaming systems.

In addition to the Hotspot feature, the Car-Net system provides a variety of services in four areas: Remote Access, Safe & Secure, Hotspot, and Guide & Inform. Through the Car-Net system, owners can access key vehicles information remotely through the available app. The app will allow owners to remotely start and stop their vehicle, lock and unlock the doors, honk the horn and flash the lights, view vehicle status, including fuel level, mileage and window status, and view the vehicle’s last parked location. The Car-Net app will be smartwatch compatible later in 2020.
