What has been upgraded in the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas?
The Volkswagen Atlas has only been around for a few model years and it is making an excellent case to become the automaker’s flagship crossover SUV. For the new model year, VW has made a few subtle changes to the platform that will give most owners a different kind of ownership experience. So, what has been upgraded in the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas? Most of the changes are centered around the vehicle’s infotainment system and other technology. The 2021 Atlas has started to arrive at the Compass Volkswagen showroom and it will be available in eight trim grades, S, SE, SE w/Technology, SE w/Technology R-Line, SEL, SEL R-Line, SEL Premium and SEL Premium R-Line. New VW Infotainment System
Most of the 2021 Atlas lineup will be equipped with the latest version of the VW modular infotainment matrix (MIB3). The latest Volkswagen infotainment system will be controlled via a glass-covered 8-inch touchscreen interface. Naturally, a driver and their passengers in the 2021 VW Atlas will be able to access both the Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ suites of applications. However, the MIB3 infotainment system is one of the few on the market that will not only allow for multiple devices to be connected simultaneously, but they can be connected wirelessly.
Volkswagen is also providing owners of the 2021 Atlas with an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
Compass VW customers choosing the SEL models and higher will be equipped with the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit. This popular and innovative feature will allow the driver to change the information displayed in the center gauge cluster. As many as 21 different kinds of information, including system status, navigation data and phone call information.
