Two engine options are offered on the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas. The first is Volkswagen’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine is rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The second engine offered is the 3.6-liter VR6 engine. Performance numbers for this engine check in at 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque.
Storage space is one of the key reasons car shoppers choose an SUV. With the rear seats in place, the 2019 Volkswagen Atlas offers 20.6 cubic feet of storage space. Folding down the third row of seats increase this number to 55.5 cubic feet. With all three rows of seats folded down, the Atlas offers a maximum storage capacity of 96.8 cubic feet. The 2020 Kia Telluride offers a maximum storage capacity of 87.0 cubic feet.
