Every 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan will use the same powertrain. A turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will make 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. The 2020 Toyota RAV4 will use a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic of its own. Owners of the 2020 RAV4 will have access to up to 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.  

While the 2020 Tiguan might not make as much power as its Toyota RAV4 rival. However, the Tiguan will come back to take the lead when it comes to passenger capacity and cargo volume.
